Objective
Exploring identities for Marketing Academy, a new internal offering from IHG for the internal staff. Using the IHG Guidelines as inspiration, explored a range of identities that utilize various IHG assets and colors, to help not only raise awareness but drive interest and appeal to a varied audience.
Access to world-class training, with a tailored approach
IHG® Marketing Academy is a world-class training program, offered to motivated and engaged individuals from any backgrounds, wanting to get a head start in their hospitality career. The programs powered by IHG® Academy, range from building knowledge around consumer behavior to digital marketing strategies and brand management. You’ll learn to identify customer needs and determine the best marketing channels and messages. The classes will help you develop the foundational marketing skills that can quickly be put into practice in the field.
Approach
To create a visual identity system that would be recognized as the IHG family and yet have a fresh outlook. A contemporary approach to the IHG values that it acts as an umbrella to all its entities. The progression line around the logo acts like an anchor that holds the school together and its versatility towards adapting in different layouts. The IHG endorsement is not required all the time when on an off-premise media, it is to be considered without the IHG endorsement.

Elements
Exploring the progression line element invigorates into different collaterals. Creating a system that can be used differently on every media platform, yet holding the same look and feel. The deliverables, so far have been corporate collaterals, flyers, email templates, and power-point templates. This is a growing initiative by IHG, It is very exciting to explore more media platforms as the project expands.
